You helped from a safe distance before [in past lives], but when it became your story, too, you had to get involved in a much deeper, committed way. Through personal healing, you know what it [healing] feels like. You can guide people through their pain in steadfastness and love, because you came through it yourself. Thus, you can be more energetically impactful in the world. You reach more people in healing by the healing of yourself and by your prayers and meditations.

“I thanked each one of them for the part they played in my life” Debbie said. “If they hadn’t played their parts so well, I wouldn’t be where I am now, in touch with my Spirit. I was able to bless them for helping me find my way back to myself. You take your power back and realize that I planned it all. I was in charge. They were just doing what I asked.”

“Did your father and grandfather come to you?”

“My grandfather, my mother, all of my mother’s side of the family. My father’s still alive. I work with him at the soul level now, because he still denies that anything happened.”

This was an essential point. Each of us can communicate directly with the soul of another person. In these communications we may ask that our love for or forgiveness of the person be conveyed for the purpose of healing a relationship. It is then up to that person, the incarnate personality, to decide whether to accept the love and forgiveness. At the soul level, though, every such message is joyfully received. It is well to open and conclude such communications with an expression of gratitude to the person’s soul for listening and caring. Gratitude is the equivalent of a static-free interdimensional phone line to the soul.

“In another meditation,” Debbie continued, “I was in contact with my mother. I said, ‘Why, Mom? Why did we have to do all this?’ She said, ‘Because you asked.’ And she said, ‘I’m still working with your father. Just because I’m not in physical form anymore doesn’t mean the connection is broken.’”

“Did anyone else in spirit explain to you why you had requested these experiences?” I asked.

“My maternal grandmother said, ‘This was laid out a long time ago. The plan was multilayered. You were to heal yourself, your family, and then help the planet to heal. This was a very specific plan and would not have happened without a carefully planned order of events.’

“So, I wanted to do this,” added Debbie. “Everything had to fall into place as it did for me to do my work here. I think the incest was the best possible thing that could happen. I’ve been given information from Spirit that to the depths of pain and grief I felt, that’s also as far as I can go in joy and love. And if I don’t know the difference, then I wouldn’t be able to love as much as I do now.”

“Debbie, do you believe your mother’s pre-birth plan was not to protect you from your father?”

“I think that’s true.
